New use for a plate stand...

I have a plain old plate stand... flat gold paint with rings for 3 plates.  Some of you know that I'm setting Pieces of D up at a wine festival this coming weekend.  I'm trying to be creative, but frugal, with my displays, since I splurged on an 8 foot table and am trying to save for a tent.  Anyway... I've been going crazy making ornaments from wine corks and beads to have something wine themed to sell (besides my grape paintings).  No I didn't drink all the wine... I have friends that save corks for me... but I did drink some of it!  So... I saw my plain little plate stand sitting there and thought... Why not hang the ornaments from it?  I'll even make a price sign and clip it to the handle with a clothespin!   Ta Da!

Not a bad idea huh?

And they are so pretty and sparklie!

And some are even elegant...

What do you think?

  8. What a beautiful and inspired way to use your corks. I collect them too & display mine in an old printer's compartment box.
