You make haiku look so easy. I did one haiku and it took me hours and hours. I'm sure if I tried harder, it would come easier, but I found it rather frustrating. Right up there with zentangles (grin).
What I really, really love is the photo of the palm trees. I have a love of palms that can only be called an obsession. Living in Kansas, they are non-existent, so when I see one, I go crazy. Happy Friday.
Reflections always fascinate me. Sometimes they look like mirror images. Sometimes, as in your photo, there's just a hint of an Impressionist painting. Thank you for your words and image.
Your haiku is beautiful as always. I marvel how you know the names of so many birds(from my post comment) I don't know any but the most common birds it is a disgrace.
Dianne It is a stunning photograph and a beautifully subtle and reflective haiku. Still Waters has so many connotations in our culture, and stillness and reflection go hand in hand. "Changing gray light" is very nice as well. Lovely. Noelle
I like your hailu and that photo is awesome! Good stuff here today!
ReplyDeletePeace.
Wonderful. The still waters, the October haiku. Aren't we having some lovely days?
