This week's theme for Mixed Media Monday is "Mom." I made 2 Mixed media brooches for the challenge...
They are both of metal drawer or box label frames with scrapbook paper, ("Mom" is handwritten) inserted and decoupaged.
The larger (a copper colored frame) is combined with a "1928" brand, vintage style, enameled, double dragonfly pin that is actually intact. The paper has had small squares cut out to accommodate the original pinback, so that the pinback works. Small pieces of vintage, pink rhinestone earring have been adhered onto the paper.
The smaller has a vintage, real shell earring adhered to the front of the (bright gold colored frame) and a pinback adhered to the back.
They are both signed and dated by me.
These are wonderful brooches.
