This week's theme is to use something we've found... an object, new technique, a supply we just found... Here's my assembled, mixed media brooch.
I found the little brass, pear shaped safety pin attaching a tag to a garment I bought.
I found the vintage, coral colored rose earring in my grandmother's old jewelry box.
I found the vintage gold and pearl rose earring at a favorite thrift store.
I found the vintage pearl and brass cap drops on Etsy.
I found the altered, vintage button in the sweet package that Kimmie sent to us T Tuesday ladies...
Just delightful!!!
ReplyDeletewhat a sweet thing to do with Kimmie's button, lovely Dianne!

ReplyDeleteHi Dianne--First of all, I love how you used your found items--I miss doing these challenges---just no time, and also I want to thank you so much always for you comments on my blog. A couple of you have asked about the bird. Actually, it's a metal bird--I just stained it with gold acrylic paint. I bought this bird at the wholesale show that I went to a few weeks ago. I only got 2, but I wish I had bought more--the price was right, and I've already used them both.
ReplyDeleteOh, Dianne, what a gorgeous work of art! How neat to find such beautiful objects that coordinate so well. I love the coral rose. I think I'm in an orange mood lately. Thanks for your lovely comment on my orange poppy. I'm glad I took its picture, because the rains have knocked off the petals now.
ReplyDeleteReally turned out pretty! I love it!
ReplyDeleteI just love this brooch!!! I gave it a mention on my blog .... I'm hoping a lot of people will drop by and say hello :)
ReplyDeleteLove the "trumped up" Kimmie pin!
